For this photo, the base was a legal pad instead of the fancy ipad. I managed to get the iPhone supported this time, so it’s a lot sharper then the previous neocube shot. B/W conversion done in the iphone by the Camera+ app.

This was a fun photo to make. The camera used was an iPhone4 with the camera+ app, and I used my iPad as a light table. I used Adobe Ideas and painted a red canvas, a piece of printer paper for the background sweep.

Looking Back

As Nora and I prepare to book this years summer vacation, I started looking at some photos from last year. We spent a wonderful week in Seattle and truly had a great time.

I revisited two photos from last summer, and played with some more HDR techniques. Both of these are from multiple exposures take while the camera was mounted on the tripod. I’m still learning how to use this technique, and obviously the water didn’t work all that well, but it’s still a very vibrant exposure!

I’m excited to spend a week in the Caribbean with Nora, and am sure I’ll be lugging too much photo gear with me!

Sue and Eric’s Wedding

What a busy month for me! Besides shooting several weddings with Geri, and doing a shoot for the Iaoapogh Foundation, I started a new day job. Oh yeh, I’m now consulting for 3 Floral wholesalers!

Here are some of my favorites from Sue and Eric’s wedding. I *really* want to hear the story of the karate kid move by Eric. Had a lot of fun working with Geri, as always and continue to learn a lot..

Remembering Ray Banta: Restoring Swallowtail Lodge

As a youth I spent my summers going to Camp Yaw Paw. As a teen, I spent the summers working at camp, where I made some of my best friends to this day.

After the passing of Ranger Ray Banta, his family and friends started a Foundation called the Iaoapogh Foundayion in his memory. We will be working on a restoration of the old Main Lodge of the camp, now called Swallowtail Lodge after Ray Banta.

These shots represent my first experiments with HDR photography.

Taking My Time

Unlike the photo from earlier in the week, I had lots going for me today. I’m off from work, I was making lunch just for me, I took the effort to get the tripod out of the trunk, and there was lots of natural light available.

The sandwich itself consists of a homemade bun (I said I had time!), Greulich’s Market turkey, Grafton Village cheddar, and Buddhapesto.

First Farmer’s Market Weekend

One of the hardest parts of having interlocking hobbies is finding time for both. There is no food stylist, there are no squeeze bottles, and there is certainly a hungry couple ready for dinner. Tonight’s dinner could have used a reshot with a bit more DOF, but it was simply time to eat!

Spaghetti with Broccoli Rabe, Grilled Sausage, Cured Olives, and Buddhapesto.

While In NJ to work a wedding with Geri, my father asked me to shoot some photos of a new radio for the Glen Rock Volunteer Amulance Corps. These will be going into member documentation.

I didn’t have a proper light box or no seam background, so they spent a bit of time inside of The GIMP for editing.
